Ian Down, born Ian Charles Leavitt, in Long Beach California on July 10,1980, is an American actor, musician, producer, sound engineer, and singer. Best known as Ian Down singer, bass player, Owner of SKR Studios. Ian took the stage name of Ian Down in 1995 when he founded Shotdown, his Long Beach punk band. Ian has appeared in many clubs since he was 18 as a Promoter, Light and Sound Engineer, and as lead singer. Ian wanted to own his own studio and night club. Beginning with small places, such as his garage at age 16, to owning his own recording studio in 2012, SKR Studios, located in North Hollywood While in high school, Ian became interested in sound engineering through a friend who owned his own studio. After graduation from high school, Ian enrolled in courses in Sound Engineering at Long Beach Community College. At the age of 27, Ian attended Musicians Institute receiving certification in Post Production/Sound Engineer. Ian recorded at his SKR Studios Music Videos such as "Bad Boys", "Gotta Get Out", "This Time Around". All Ian's lyrics and music depict his deep feeling for friends, family, and loyalty. Ian is recording at SKR Studios with his band, Go Go Riot, which will include the lyrics and music for Battle Cry, a song he wrote at age 15. Born in Dublin on the 21st of April 2000, Ian Downey is a radio presenter, actor, musician and interviewer. Initially starting in theatre, where he spent several years acting in various small productions, he studied to attain a Grade 10 in Speech and Drama. Following several roles in independent productions, he moved on to the world of radio where he hosted a jazz and blues show called "The Time Out Suite" on a local Dublin radio station called Dublin South FM. More recently, Downey was called to conduct several broadcast interviews with Dublin City FM, spoken in his native language Irish.
