    • Julian Parker

      Julian is an actor, writer, and producer and a south side of Chicago native. He is currently a recurring co-star on The Chi. He can also be seen on Chicago P.D. (2014) and Chicago Fire (2017). Most recently, he starred in Antoinette Nwandu's world premiere, Pass Over, at Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago (2017), directed by Danya Taymor. Months later, it was picked up as an independent film project, produced and directed by Spike Lee, and was selected for the Sundance Film Festival (2018). He earned his start in Chicago theatre, where he was first seen performing his work with Steppenwolf Theatre, Writers', Oracle Productions, Jackalope, Northlight, and American Theatre. He is an ensemble member and co-founder of Definition Theatre Company: which is a Chicago-based, non-profit theatre company. He is a Joseph Jefferson Award recipient for Best Actor in a Principal Play (The Hairy Ape). He has also received a Black Theatre Alliance Award for Best Actor in an Ensemble (Pass Over). Julian was also recognized in Chicago's Time Out magazine as Best Actor (Hairy Ape). Most recently (2017), the Chicago Tribune recognized him as one of the "Hot New Faces," which he shared with nine other incredible performers. He received his BFA-Acting from the University of Illinois-Champaign (2012).

      Julian Booth is a Welsh actor and stand-up/improv comedian born in Newport, South Wales. He grew up in the nearby town of Caldicot, near Chepstow, Gwent. He attended the local secondary school, Caldicot Comprehensive, then went on to complete a BA Joint (Hons) undergraduate degree in philosophy and psychology at Keele University in Staffordshire, England. Previously a musician and lawyer, he found his way into acting by chance when cast in a Neil Simon play after attending a London open-call audition. After completing formal acting training in London, he then studied in Los Angeles with well-renowned method-acting coach and former film/television actress Dianne Hull, herself taught by Lee Strasberg and legendary American director, Elia Kazan. His first significant lead film role was in Still and the Spot (2015), which won the 2015 Audience Choice Film Award at the CEC 21st Annual Short-takes International Film Festival held at UCLA. He then went on was to appear as one the lead cast in Sentient (2014), selected for LA Screamfest and Dragon Con film festivals in 2014, and which also premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in the same year. Since relocating to Los Angeles, Julian has wrapped up indie-features As Worlds Collide (2018); Cult of the Vampire (2016); and The Radicalization of Jeff Boyd (2017); and has most recently starred in George Clooney's new movie Suburbicon (2017); a recurring role on NBC Saudi Arabia's new TV comedy "Cut"; Smosh TV's new comedy Part Timers (2016); and "Saw" director Darren Bousman's highly innovative immersive theatre "The Tension Experience: Ascension", voted as one of the top three immersive theatre productions in the world. Julian is also a participant on BAFTA LA's Newcomers Program, which promotes some of the UK's best new talent to the US film & TV industries.
