      Natalie Medlock is a British-born New Zealand actress and writer best known for her role in Shortland Street as nurse Jill Kingsbury which she played from 3 February 2011 to 16 January 2012. She was born in 1986 on the 15th of October in Plymouth, England with her sister Kate Medlock, until her parents moved to New Zealand in 1999. A committed student, Natalie developed a love for stage work through her school teacher. Living in New Zealand, Natalie attended Wellington's best drama school Toi Whaakari. Beginning her career in the mid-2000s, Natalie received her breakthrough in 2011 with her role on the New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street. Her work in New Zealand television also includes roles on the fantasy drama The Almighty Johnsons (2012) and the sitcom Auckland Daze (2012-2013). In 2018, she joined the second season of Netflix's biographical drama series Roman Empire (2018) starring Aaron Jakubenko as the Roman Emperor Commodus. In 2015, Natalie directed the charitable stage production "Christ Almighty". Two years later in 2017, Natalie directed two film shorts including Goodness Grows Here (2017) and The Pact (2017).

Other credits include 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee MTC, Ghost, Lord of the Rings, Cats, and many more. After studying classical acting she moved onto do many plays including Romeo and Juliet, Coup D'Etat, 5 Kinds of Silence, Macbeth and many more. She has always worked in film and television from a young age and landed a 3-picture deal with Miramax at 19. She most recently appeared as one of the leads in Americana directed by Philip Noyce by ABC America and the British classic Midsomer Murders as Sasha Fleetwood. She is still best known for Descent 1 & 2 and her lead role of Jackie Clunes in BBC's drama Hotel Babylon. Natalie has moved on to writing and developing for her own film production company as well as recording an album she will be releasing later next year. She had a record deal with Virgin Records as a teenager in a Punk pop band. She won Best Film, Best Writer and Best Director for the 72 hr Film Festival held in LA in 2011. Natalie is also directing her first feature slated for release next year.
