Philips' ability to imitate accents and actors was what brought him to the attention of his drama teacher at school who urged him to take up the arts as a profession. Philips has broadened his talents in the creative field to writing, and is also one of the most popular young 1st Assistant Directors in the UK-his attention to detail, energy, vibrant nature and passion of the arts attracting projects with some of the biggest names in the industry such as; Idris Elba, Stanley Tucci, Stormzy, Tom Jones, Jamie Flatters, Arrdee, Burnaboy, Slick Rick, Giggs, FKA Twiggs, Jorja Smith, Daniel Fletcher, John Reno, Gary Lineker.
